Embroidery Machine Operator
Run and hoop starts at $17 to $19. If you digitize your own files in Wilcom, Hatch or equivalent, run multi-head, and handle your own machine maintenance, you start at $20 to $22. Digitizing is the skill that moves this number, so tell us about it.
Own the embroidery side of the shop. Hats, polos, jackets, patches, left chest through full back. If you digitize your own files, you will be the most valuable person on the floor and we will pay you like it.
Where you work
On-site at our Dallas, TX location. This role is not remote.
What you will do
- Set up and run embroidery machines: thread up, hoop, set the sequence, monitor the run
- Hoop and back the full range: flats, caps on a cap driver, sleeves, bags, towels
- Digitize artwork or clean up supplied files so they actually stitch out
- Pick stabilizer, backing, needle and thread for the fabric in front of you
- Run a sew-out on anything new before committing the customer's goods
- Trim, clean and press finished pieces so they leave looking right
- Keep the machines oiled, timed and stocked, and log thread and backing use
What we are looking for
- 1+ year on commercial embroidery machines, single or multi-head
- You can hoop a cap properly and know why most people cannot
- You know what to do when the thread keeps breaking and it is not the thread
- Digitizing in Wilcom, Hatch, Embrilliance or equivalent is a strong plus and pays more
- Careful eye. You can see a density problem in a sew-out before it becomes a remake
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
